"Each time I walk up the dimly lit rickety wooden staircase to Mike’s third story flat, I feel like I’m part of some divine cinematic experience. As I step once, and again, the sound begins to fill that narrow stairwell, and I begin to feel like once I round the stairs at the top, some monumental moment will be waiting for me. That’s how it goes with Mike; he’s a musician that’s always tweaking, making, or experimenting with new sounds out of sight in his home-studio. Both of his projects, “Dogwok” and the now defunct “Greet The Mind,” shed insight into his diverse and mighty musical appetite. He makes music that is melodic, patient, and steady, and in doing so, expresses a unique tranquil luminosity - like a pretty personal memory.
